Santa Claus is coming to town! He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake! Since we just finished celebrating being thankful for what we have, lets share that goodness with others, eh? After all it's Giving Tuesday. And I bet you're not even done with your holiday shoppings even after all the sales and deals this weekend. Here are some ideas of gifts you can get for friends and family that make an extra impact on the world as well!
For the parent(s) and/or grandparents that have everything: donate to a charity they love on their behalf. Ask the organization to send your parents an email notifying them of your gift in their name! Often times they write a lovely and grateful message. We often donate to local animal shelters.
For the friend that loves her teaching job and making a difference to children: a gift card to Staples, Michaels, or Joan Fabrics. These people spend their own money to make their classrooms a warm, fun and inviting place, why not help them out! That way, you too are helping kiddos learn.
For the sibling that loves cooking/learning to cook: a food service subscription like Purple Carrot or Sun Basket. They use ingredients from sustainable farmers, provide completely recyclable packaging, and help you're loved ones eat/cook more nutritional meals. Helping someone stay healthy and happy is always a thoughtful gift. Plus you're helping them with their grocery billAND helping sustainable/organic farmers!
And if anything else, remember that if you are getting anything shipped via Amazon, please remember to log into your account via Smile.Amazon.com. A percentage of your the sales go to a charity of your choosing. *BONUS* This can be done all year round and they give you and update one how much money has gone to the organization of your choosing.
