Introducing, the one and only, Jack Devereux Halbrook!

Hello world!

Born on April 14th, 2018 beating out his mom's own birthday by a day (or we should say, only a few hours).  He weighed 6 lbs. 10.6 oz and was 20 inches long. Luckily, grandparents, aunties and uncles were all at hospital ready to meet the little man, some having flown/driven from Michigan. Today at 8:11 PM, he'll be exactly 3 weeks old. We're so happy to share with you our pride and joy.

Currently, he's exhibiting that he shares mom's long fingers and dad's blue eyes, a cleft chin, light brown hair, some small indication of dimples when he smiles, and both a healthy appetite
as well as digestive system! Big sis, Jolene, is a loving, gentle, and proud older sibling, she already showed him off to her friends at the park!

Below are a couple of images taken just seconds after he was born, followed by a few more recent shots of our new life with Jack in tow. Slowly making it out, getting the hang of being a party of 4.

Great job!
My comments are:
Jack I
True descendant of Robert I, Count of Evreux. The first Devereux in the Planet (d. 1037); son of Richard I "The Fearless" (d. 996), Duke of Normandy; Grandson of William I "Longsword" (d. 942), Leader of The Normans of Rouen; Great Grandson of Rollo (Hrolfr)"The Ganger" Rangnvaldsson (d. 931), first Viking Ruler of Normandy. The Icelandic sources claim that Hrólfr was born in Møre, western Norway, in the late 9th century and that his parents were the Norwegian jarl Rognvald Eysteinsson ("Rognvald the Wise") and a noblewoman from Møre named Hildr Hrólfsdóttir. Therefore, Jack I, my Grandson, is part of the Plantagenet dynasty that ruled England; the name "Plantagenet" was taken from Geoffrey V or Geoffrey Plantagenet, Count of Anjou (d. 1151) "The Handsome" epithet. His ancestral domain of Anjou gave rise to the name Angevin for three kings of England (Henry II his son and heir, and Henry's sons Richard and John), and what became known as the Angevin Empire in the 12th century.
